Claude is an AI assistant made by Anthropic. It is available as a browser chat at claude.ai, a desktop app called Cowork, and a command-line tool called Claude Code. This course teaches all three, starting with the basics.
Claude has a feature called Projects that gives it permanent memory of your business context. You set it up once and every future chat already knows your business, tone, and audience. ChatGPT requires you to re-explain each session unless you use custom instructions. Claude also tends to be more cautious about flagging uncertainty rather than confidently guessing.
Cowork is a mode inside the Claude desktop app. Unlike claude.ai in a browser, Cowork can read and write actual files on your computer, run scheduled tasks automatically, and complete multi-step work while you step away. Both claude.ai and Cowork can connect to cloud services like Gmail, Slack, and Google Drive using Connectors. What is unique to Cowork is accessing your local computer files directly and running scheduled tasks. The desktop app must stay open and your computer must stay awake for scheduled tasks to run.
Claude Code is a command-line tool made by Anthropic. You install it once inside VS Code and use it by describing what you want built in plain English. Claude Code writes the actual code, runs it, and creates the files on your computer. You do not need to write or read any code yourself.
No. This course was designed for business owners with no developer background. The only technical step is installing VS Code and Claude Code in Module 5, and the instructions assume zero prior experience. If you can follow a recipe, you can follow this course.
Yes. The course itself is completely free. No credit card. No paywall. Modules 0 through 3 run on Claude.ai's free plan. Yes, through Claude Projects. You create a Project once, add context about your business (your audience, tone, services, goals), and every conversation inside that Project starts with that context already loaded. You do not need to re-explain your business each time. This is covered in Module 3 of this course.
